- he is “Music Director” of Riga Cathedral and conducts both the cathedral Choir and the vocal ensemble Laudate. He is also the rector of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, the most important and, in fact, the only music training center on university level.
- the schola Cantorum Riga is a professional vocal men’s ensemble, founded in 1992. It focuses on authentic interpretation of early sacred music, mainly Gregorian chant, Ambrosian church music and medieval plainchant. Also contemporary vocal compositions accompanied by organ and orchestra, or performances based on improvisation practice are part of the repertoire.
