Vocaal Ensemble Cantamare

- Cantamare is a youthful and energetic girls’ choir. The singers were all trained at the Academy of Vocal Arts in The Hague.
- the ensemble is inspired by the musical riches of the 20th and 21st centuries, but also explores other artistic periods especially via the Baroque and the Romantic repertoire.
- the conductor, Silvère van Lieshout, is also managing director and artistic leader of the Academy of Vocal Arts. He has been engaged in the development of choir singing for children’s and youth choirs in The Nederland for more than 40 years.
- he has a lot of experience in choir conducting of Gregorian chant and participated in the first Festival of Watou in 1981.
